Randi Thiel
BS, LADC
My Story
Before Healing Grace I worked with adolescents with mental health & special education needs. I also worked as a substitute teacher for the Minnesota Autism Center, Northern Pines Mental Health Center, and St. Cloud Area School District.

My passion at its core is to help guide people to achieve health and well-being in the physical, mental, and emotional realms. My goal in whatever I do is to meet people where they are with compassion & direction. Judgment free. I have always had a heart for Veterans as I come from a large military family and have been a soldier in the United States Army myself. It is a great honor to walk beside these men & women through the good, bad, and the ugly and advocate on their behalf any chance I am afforded to do so.
As an LADC, I am a firm believer that true healing is raw, messy, and rewarding, often simultaneously. I feel that working in a reality-based program, dealing with life on life’s terms as they happen in programming, helps prepare clients for life outside of a structured environment. In addition to the reality-based approach I am a big proponent of Motivational Interviewing. In short, Motivational Interviewing involves using open-ended questions combined with empathy, compassion, and active listening to get the client to realize what their priorities and strengths are to create inner motivation for change. I aspire one day to become a Treatment Center Director, and maybe an owner of a little bed and breakfast where recovery retreats can be held.
