Open Positions

Part Time LADC

We are looking for a part-time LADC who can be available 3 days per week from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with the potential to become a full time position, if desired. Scheduling is flexible. If interested please download the application above and submit to tmorales@healinggracellc.org.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Documented two years of freedom from problematic substance use problems.

  • Be a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor in standing with the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services.

  • Must pass Applicant Background Check Study Approval.

  • Knowledge of the philosophy of Substance Abuse Treatment and Chemical Dependency Treatment.

  • Training and successful counseling experience in the field of alcoholism or drug dependency (Internship experience is acknowledged).

  • At the time of assuming the position of a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, the individual should demonstrate basic knowledge of or be receiving training related to:

  • The lifestyle of the target population.

  • The psychological; physiological, behavioral, and social correlates to drug abuse.

  • Theories and issues in drug abuse treatment and aftercare planning including familiarity with the major techniques currently in use for the treatment of drug abusing individuals, including treatment planning.

  • Laws, public policy, and political issues related to drug abuse and its treatment.

  • Ethics involved in the treatment of drug abusing individuals.

  • Other drug abuse treatment rehabilitation resources available in the community.

  • Must know and understand the implication of parts 245G, and Minnesota Statutes, sections 245A.65, Minn Stat chapter 260E
     

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, or other required information.

  • Function as a member of a treatment team.

  • Counsel clients, individually or in group sessions, to help address their substance use and current/past life struggles.

  • Assess clients and confer with other professionals necessary to provide adequate delivery of services and provide referrals as needed.

  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plan and complete the intake process with clients entering programming.

  • Review progress of clients and continuously monitor for treatment efficacy.

  • Advocate for clients and their specific needs, intervene when necessary.

  • Coordinate with Mental Health professionals, when necessary, doctors and other medical providers as necessary with a signed ROI.

  • Modify treatment plans when necessary.

  • Conduct group activities, individual counseling, and family counseling for clients in their caseload.

  • Prepares and delivers lectures related to substance use and their affects in a multitude of areas.

  • Keeps accurate and up to date records and documentation in client charts.

  • Participates in Therapeutic Recreation as scheduled.

  • Provides progress updates to probation and other professionals with a signed ROI by the client.

  • Supervise others in lower degree of authority in their delivery of services to clients.

  • Participates in annual training as required by 245G.
     

Degree of Authority

  • The Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor shall report to the Program/Treatment Director and/or LADC Clinical Supervisor.

 

Standards of Job Performance

  • Healing Grace, LLC expects the highest standards of job performance from the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor outlined on the performance review.

 

LADC Work Hours

  • There will be a total of 15-30 therapeutic LADC hours and 5-10 indirect service hours depending on the treatment level of the clients [low or medium] at any given time.

  • This makes 75% direct client contact and 25% indirect client contact. An acceptable group size is based on each client's needs except that treatment services provided in a group shall not exceed 16 clients.

  • Healing Grace, LLC must maintain a record that documents compliance with this policy.
